Compact stirrer GM
Stirrer design
FLUKO GM stirrers are designed for slower speed applications where generally a single stirring speed is required. The stirrer shaft is mounted directly onto the gear motor shaft. The stirrer is usually supplied with a standard IEC flange for mounting directly onto the vessel or a stirrer stand. Stirrers with longer shafts are supplied with a seperate shaft mounting.
Drives
Genrally a helical geared motor with an application-specific mounting. 3-phase standard motors in either IP 55 or explosion protected, also in ATEX standard. Speed depending on the gear type and the application; up to 900 r.p.m.
Stirrer shafts
The stirrer shafts are solid, and configured for continuous operation. Flange or rapid change connections are available. Every shaft is checked for true running in the factory. The shaft are dimensioned so as to have a large difference between thier operating speed and the resonance frequency.
Stirring devices
The following stirring devices are available: 3 blade propeller, plate agitators, diagonal flat blade agitators, anchor paddles and trapezoidal turbines; all with threaded hole hubs or clamp hubs.
Materials
The stirrer shaft and stirring devices are made of high alloy stainless steel SS316Ti (1.4571) or alternatively nonalloyed steel with PE, hard rubber or PVDF coating.
Stirrer mounting and shaft seals
FLUKO GM compact stirrer as standard version with geared motor for use with open or closed non-pressurised containers. The stirrer is attached to a mounting via the motor flange, an additional flange or a square profile flange. A small version is available for foot mounting on a stand. A special seal housing is available for pressurised or vacuum applications with mechanical seals, stuffing boxes or rotary lip seals. An additional shaft mounting is available for long shafts.
